“THE GIFT”
This custom piece was created as a wedding gift for Marie’s friends Laini and Rob Fanfalle. They chose the papers with which they wished to have their piece decorated and then left the design up to Marie. The result symbolizes their essence as lovers of nature, life, the mystic and beautiful zen quality that also fills their home.
The piece is adorned on the inside and out which lends itself to being suspended from the ceiling allowing it to be walked around and viewed from both sides or suspended in front of a mirror allowing a glimpse at the inside from the front.

While this piece is obviously not for sale, custom pieces can be commissioned and cost $500.00. Marie is currently working on another “life form” of a friend depicted as the fairy tattoo she has on her back and will be on display later this summer.
 

     

After a trip to Greece in the summer of '08, I found myself haunted by the images of the Greek Goddesses everywhere and how important they were to the people there.  Whether they existed in reality or not, their meaning made impressions on society, young and old and all through the centuries, to present time.  I decided to start a new series of Greek Goddesses, going through a list of the names and their influence.  I decided to fine tune the work I'd been doing by honoring them with gold leaf and beautiful frames, thus giving them a polished and finished appearance.  Cloris, Goddess of Flowers, was the first to be finished and is joined by Aceso, the Goddess of Healing.   The Goddesses of dance, healing, prosperity and more are to follow in the collection.  Contact Marie to purchase.

Maid of Honor Muse ~  This is part of the June Bride collection created especially with brides in mind.  On the outside she is dressed with mirrors, gold, silver and trim and the inside is lined with tiny flowers.  She is attached to a plexiglass stand covered with glass beads.  The pedestal is not included.
